PRC announces Regional ID Printing pilot test

The Professional Regulation Commission announces the pilot-testing of its Regional I.D. Printing to answer the delay in the release and issuance of Professional Identification Cards in its regional and satellite offices. Once implemented, the Regional I.D. printing project will enable the regions to print the I.D.’s in their respective offices instead of sending the application for ID renewal to the Central office for printing.

The Regional I.D. Printing, which is based on the Commission’s decentralization thrusts, follows closely the implementation of the PRC I.D. Renewal System which is now being used at the Central Office. The new system allows the Filipino professionals to claim their renewed professional IDs after seven (7) working days.

Aside from the Regional I.D. printing project and the new PRC ID Renewal System, the Commission has inked a Memorandum of Agreement with SM Mart, Inc. for the opening of PRC ID renewal centers at SM Malls nationwide. PRC Chairperson Teresita R. Manzala stated that under this Public-Private Partnership, the professionals wishing to renew their PRC IDs will be able to file their applications for ID renewal and to claim their IDs at SM Malls at their own convenience, seven days a week and during mall hours, thus effectively extending PRC’s services even during weekends and after government office hours.
