The PRC and Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) have decided to postpone the September 29, 2013 BLEPT in Zamboanga City, Tawi-Tawi and Jolo, Sulu, after due consultations with Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Tawi-Tawi Provincial Governor Nurbert Sahali and Sulu Provincial Governor Abdusakur A. Tan II.

The PRC had earlier stated that the postponement of the BLEPT was made on account of the limited access to air and sea transportations brought about by the ongoing armed hostilities in the abovementioned areas as well as considerations on the safety and security of the examinees and examinations personnel.
