OFFICIAL RESULTS: June 2018 NLE nursing board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – (Updated June 20) The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Nursing (BoN) released results of June 2018 nurse licensure examination (NLE) or nursing board exam on June 19, 2018 or in nine (9) working days after the exam. The official list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.

As announced, 4,326 out of 9,873 (43.82%) passed the exams.

PRC administered the nursing board exam on Sunday and Monday, June 3 and 4, in Manila, all regional offices nationwide (Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao) and Zamboanga.

The members of the Board of Nursing who gave the licensure examination are Marian Grace A. Gascon, Chairman; Gloria B. Arcos, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Glenda S. Arquiza, Florence C. Cawaon and Cora A. Anonuevo, Members.


Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • Notice of admission
  • duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps

According to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.”


NLE's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

NOTE: If you have 'Jr" name suffix, please add it after your FIRST NAME (i.e Eduardo Jr ) to avoid 'no matching record found' error.


The June 2018 nursing board exam has drawn basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas i.e. Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, adults and aged and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.

The examination has tested competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows:

1. Patient Care Competencies (safe and quality nursing care, communication, collaboration and teamwork, health education)

2. Empowering Competencies (legal responsibilities, ethico-moral spiritual responsibilities and personal and professional development)

3. Enabling competencies (management of resources and enviromment and records management)

4. Enhancing competencies (research and quality improvement)

NLE is compposed of five (5) parts namely:
  • Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
  • Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
  • Nursing Practice III ((Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part A)
  • Nursing Practice IV ((Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part B)
  • Nursing Practice V ((Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part C)

According to PRC Resolution No. 2017-1068 and Pursuant to Section 7 (d) of R.A. No. 8981, the target release of NLE results is on Friday, June 22, 2018 or in twelve (12) working days after the exam.

The results day falls in 18 calendar days. The computed number of working days excludes 2 Saturdays and Sundays and 2 public holidays (Independence Day on June 12 and Eid'l Fitr on June 15).

In the same period last year, results were released in just 8 working days after the last day of exam. PRC named 3,882 out of 11,176 (34.74%) who passed the exam. Mary Angelie Cardente Cabañez from West Visayas State University - La Paz topped the board with 86.20%. Provincial schools dominated the top performing schools list with Xavier University (XU) on top spot garnering 100% passing rate or all 60 examinees passed the exams.

In June 2016 exams, results were released in 9 working days ahead of the target schedule. A total of 6,183 out of 14,184 (43.59%) successfully hurdled the exams. Bernard John Ezra IV Rafols Icamen from Cebu Normal University and Melissa Castor Malong from De La Salle University - Health Sciences Institute aced the board with identical grade of 87.20%. West Visayas State University (WVSU)- La Paz was the top performing school with 100% passing rate.

PRC Board News expects NLE results to come out between June 18 (Monday) and June 22 (Friday) or in 8-12 working days after the exams.

PRC is expected to release results on earlier date as the total number of takers is fewer compared to previous examinations.
