RESULT: August 2022 Guidance Counselor board exam list of passers

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the complete results of August 2022 Guidance Counselor board exam together with the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools on August 23 or in three (3) working days after the exam.

As announced, 405 out of 661 passed the exams.

PRC conducted the Guidance Counselor board exam on Wednesday and Thursday, August 17 and 18, 2022 in the cities of Manila, Cagayan de Oro and Cebu.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

From October 10 to October 12, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

All examinees may verify their ratings online through PRC's verification of ratings page. Provide the required information in the appropriate fields below to verify your identity.

COVERAGE OF EXAM

The two-day exam tackled the following subjects: counseling theories, tools and techniques, career guidance and foundation of guidance (Day 1); and group process, psychological testing, organization, administration and supervision of guidance services and program development (Day 2).

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1439 series of 2021, the target release date of Guidance Counselor board exam results is on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 or in three (3) working days after the exam.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the August 2019 Guidance Counselor board exams, PRC released results after two (2) working days. A total of 286 out of 458 passed the exams. Leslie Doris Maribbay Divina from Saint Mary's University topped the board with 89.80%.

In the August 2018 exams, results were also out in 2 working days. PRC named 307 out of 471 examinees who successfully hurdled the tests. Ma Agatha Anne Deang Dizon of University of the Assumption led the passers with 90.20%.

In the August 2017 exams, results were available online 2 working days. A total of 256 out of 393 passed the exam. Rachelle Abadilla Bersamin of Ateneo de Davao University topped the board with 90.15%.

In the August 2016 exams, results were announced in three (3) working days after the exam. A total of 239 out of 390 passed. Norman Lou Sexcion Padilla of San Pedro College - Davao City topped the board with 87.20%.
