P-Z passers: Bar Exam Result 2022

MANILA, Philippines – The 2022 bar exam results - list of passers, topnotchers and top performing schools - are released online on April 14, 2023. Over 9,000 aspiring lawyers tried to hurdle the grueling tests on November 9, 13, 16, and 20, 2022 in 14 testing sites nationwide.

A total of 9,183 law graduates completed the second digitalized and regionalized bar exams.

UPDATE: 3,992 out of 9,183 (43.47%) successfully hurdled the bar exam.

Relative to the successful conduct of 2020-2021 Bar Exam, the Supreme Court once again used Examplify, a computer-based examination program that allows examinees to securely take a test using their own devices.

Bar Passers 2022

Aspiring lawyers were tested in the following major subjects:

1. Political and International Law (with related tax principles) – 15%

2. Labor Law – 10%

3. Criminal Law (and practical exercises) – 15%

4. Commercial Law – 10%

5. Civil Law I – 15%

6. Civil Law II (and practical exercises) – 10%

7. Remedial Law I – 15%

8. Remedial Law II (with basic tax remedies) and Legal Ethics – 10%

The standard 75% passing percentage is expected to prevail in the recent exam, same in the previous years.

Bar exam results updates

On April 5, the Supreme Court announced through a bulletin the exact release date of the 2022 bar exam results.

"The results of the 2022 Bar Examinations will be released and uploaded on the official Supreme Court website on April 14, 2023, after the special En Banc session for the same," 2022 Bar Chairperson Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa said in a notice to 2022 bar candidates.

The high court added that oath-taking of successful examinees will be on May 2, 2023.
