MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Electronics Engineering (BEE) released results of October 2023 Electronics Engineer (ECE) and Electronics Technician (ECT) board exam on October 27, 2023 or in three (3) working days after the last day of exam. The complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.
As announced, 842 out of 2,524 (33.36%) passed the ECE board and 1,366 out of 1,858 (73.52%) passed the ECT board exams.
PRC administered the licensure exam in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Palawan on October 22 and 23, 2023 for ECE and October 24 for ECT.

PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: December 11 - 15, December 18 - 22 and December 26 - 27, 2023
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
COVERAGE OF EXAM
The two-day exam for ECE covered the following subjects: Mathematics (20%), Electronics engineering (30%), General engineering and applied sciences (GEAS) (20%) and Electronics systems and technologies (EST) (30%).
Meanwhile, ECT board exam covered the technical subjects, laws and ethics: basic mathematics, Ohm's Law, Electronic/Electrical Machine or equipment, test equipment, electronic/electrical component, maintainance and repair, Philippine electronics and electrical codes and R.A. 9292 or the Electronics Engineering Law of 2004.
RELEASE OF RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1589 s. 2022, the target release of ECE and ECT board exam results is on Monday, October 30, 2023 or in four (4) working days after the last day of exam.
However, October 30 was declared a special non-working holiday for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE).
This means that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date. We advise takers to monitor announcement of results starting Friday, October 27.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the April 2023 Electronics Engineer board exam, PRC announced results in three (3) working days after the last day of examinations. A total of 983 out of 2,935 passed the ECE board exams while 1,641 out of 2,227 passed the ECT board.
In the October 2022 Electronics Engineer board exam, PRC released results in four (4) working days. A total of 785 out of 2,644 passed the ECE while 1,546 out of 2,005 passed the ECT licensure exams.
In the April 2022 Electronics Engineer board exam, results were announced in four (4) working days. PRC named 897 out of 1,925 who passed the ECE and 1,139 out of 1,337 who passed the ECT board exams.
In the October 2021 Electronics Engineer board exam, PRC announced results after six (6) working days. A total of 710 out of 1,484 passed the ECE board exams while 738 out of 974 passed the ECT board exams.
In the last ECE board exam before the pandemic (October 2019), PRC also released results in 4 working days after the last day of examinations. A total of 2,460 out of 4,977 hurdled ECE board exam. A total of 2,589 out of 3,775 passed the ECT exams.
