RESULT: October 2023 Naval Architect board exam list of passers, topnotchers

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Naval Architecture releases results of October 2023 Naval Architect board exam on October 11 or in three (3) working days after the exam. The complete list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools are available here as announced online.

As announced, 28 out of 87 (32.18%) passed the exams.

The results of examination with respect to nineteen (19) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

PRC administered the Naval Architect board exams on October 4, 5 and 6, 2023 in the city of Manila.

The members of the Board of Naval Architecture who gave the licensure examination are Engr. William B. Hernandez, Officer-In-Charge and Engr. Rizalito S. Lanoy, Member.

The successful examinee who garnered the highest place in the October 2023 Naval Architect Licensure Examination are the following:



The performance of schools in the October 2023 Naval Architect Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation" is as follows:



The three-day exams covered the following subjects: mathematics, hydraulics, strength of materials theoretical and applied mathematics and general engineering (20%); principles of marine engineering (20%); principles of naval architecture (30%); Philippine Merchant marine regulation and code of ethics (10%); ship design, building and classing steel and wooden vessels, construction methods and practice (20%).

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Date of Registration: November 3 and November 6, 2023

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

Based on PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022, the target release of the recent Naval Architect board exam results is on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 or in three (3) working days after the test.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the October 2022 Naval Architect Licensure Examination, PRC announced results in two (2) working days. A total of 48 out of 116 passed the exams. Darryl Ferrer Abapo from University of Cebu was the lone topnotcher with 81.00%.

In the June 2021 Naval Architect board exams, PRC released results in three (3) working days. A total of 33 out of 66 passed the exams. Angelica Geyrozaga Batucan from University of Cebu led the passers with 89.50%.

In the October 2019 exams, 89 out of 156 passed the Naval Architect Licensure Examinations. PRC released results after two (2) working days. Carlo Perez Marasigan of Namei Polytechnic Institute topped the board with 89.40%.

In the October 2018 exams, PRC released results in just 2 working days. A total of 52 out of 129 successfully hurdled the tests. Joseph Vincent Yntig Satura of University of Cebu (UC) led the passers with 92.20%.

In the October 2017 exams, results were released online in 3 working days. PRC named 51 out of 117 who passed the exams. Jayvie Orbeso Albarando from UC topped the board with 89.80%. The remaining places were occupied by graduates of UC.
