MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Criminology released results of August 2025 Criminologist board exam or Criminology Licensure Exam (CLE) on September 12, 2025, within 26 working days from the last day of exams. The official list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.
As announced, 13,074 out of 25,410 (51.45%) successfully passed the August 2025 CLE.
The results of examination with respect to three (3) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations; two (2) were withheld pending submission of the required documents; and five (5) were withheld for further verification of submitted documents.
Update September 12, 2025 at 2:42PM: PRC confirmed that CLE August 2025 results will be released today.
To quote, PRC said: "Future RCrims….. get ready as the results shall be out in few hours! Scream and be primed up as the August 2025 Licensure Examination for Criminologists Results will be released soon!"
PRC conducted the Criminology board exam on August 1, 2, and 3, 2025 (Friday to Sunday) in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catarman, Cauayan, Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Kidapawan.
The members of the Board of Criminology who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, Chairman; Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz, Members.

Release of Results
According to PRC Resolution No. 1927 series of 2024 on 'Schedule of Licensure Examinations for the Year 2025', the target release of Criminologist board exam results is on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, or within thirty (30) working days after the tests.
Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.
We advise examinees to start monitoring for results on August 22, 2025, or 14 working days.
Registration and Oathtaking
PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Visit the official website of PRC (https://online.prc.gov.ph/) and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
The successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
Coverage of Exams
The three-day exam covered the following subjects: criminal law, jurisprudence and procedure, law enforcement administration, crime detection and investigation, forensic science, correctional administration and criminology.
Previous Exams
The February 2025 Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) results were released after twenty (20) working days, with 22,245 out of 36,768 examinees passing. John Michael Bundalian Amio of Holy Angel University topped the board with 92.20%, while the University of Iloilo led the schools (200 or more examinees category) with a 96.44% passing rate, or 271 out of 281 examinees.
By July 2024, results were announced just fourteen (14) days after the exams. A total of 11,121 out of 22,539 successfully passed. Alyssa Eliana Nazaire Bautista from Araullo University secured the top spot with 92.10%, and the University of Mindanao – Davao City ranked as the best-performing school (200 or more examinees category) with a 90.87% passing rate, or 189 out of 208 examinees.
Earlier, the February 2024 CLE recorded 15,684 passers out of 32,495 after twenty-two (22) working days of waiting. Mark Angelo Hidalgo Marquez of Notre Dame of Tacurong College topped the list with 91.30%. Tarlac State University stood out as the top-performing school with a perfect 100% passing rate, as all 89 of its takers passed.
Going back to August 2023, PRC released the results in just fourteen (14) working days. Out of 17,576 examinees, 5,743 passed. Jericson Balaba Jalagat of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College – Marbel led with 90.15%, while King’s College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet emerged as the best-performing school with an 88.89% passing rate (56 out of 63 examinees).
