MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is set to release the results of the September 2025 Social Worker Licensure Exam (SWLE) on Monday, September 15, 2025. The announcement will also include the list of top-performing schools and overall school performance.
PRC conducted the licensure exam in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga on September 8, 9, and 10, 2025.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
The September 2024 Social Workers Licensure Examination (SWLE) saw Bicol University–Daraga and Davao del Norte State College both post a perfect 100% passing rate, with 116 and 78 passers, respectively. Caraga State University–Butuan City followed in second place with 99.02%, or 101 out of 102 examinees passing.
During the September 2023 SWLE, four schools shared the top spot with a 100% passing rate: Caraga State University–Butuan City (94 passers), Leyte Normal University (42), University of the Philippines–Diliman (30), and Southern Christian College (17). Bicol University–Tabaco came next with 98.90%, as 90 out of 91 examinees passed.
For the September 2022 SWLE, eight schools tied for first place with a perfect 100% passing rate. These were Asian Social Institute (10 passers), Ateneo de Davao University (20), Bicol University–Tabaco (25), Caraga State University–Butuan City (85), La Verdad Christian College (13), Leyte Normal University (67), Notre Dame of Marbel University (13), and University of the Philippines–Diliman (19). Bicol University–Daraga followed with 99.05%, or 104 out of 105 examinees passing.
Meanwhile, in the February 2022 SWLE, Caraga State University–Butuan City led with a flawless 100% passing rate, with all 27 examinees passing. Palawan State University–Puerto Princesa ranked second with 92.31%, or 12 out of 13 passers.

About the Social Worker Licensure Exam
Social work is a profession focused on providing organized services that strengthen social relationships and help individuals adjust to their environment. Its goal is to promote the well-being of both people and society through recognized methods.
A social worker is a trained practitioner with academic preparation and professional experience. They apply their skills to meet the objectives set by the profession.
Social work was formally recognized in the Philippines on June 19, 1965, with the passage of Republic Act No. 4373. The law required practitioners to earn a social work degree and pass licensure exams. It also created the Board of Examiners for Social Work.
