PRC named 205 out of 438 new Chemical engineers.
Examination was set by the Board of ChemEng in the city of Manila particularly on Manuel Luiz Quezon University (MLQU) in Quiapo, Manila.
The members of the Board of Chemical Engineering are Engr. Ofelia V. Bulaong, Chairman; Engr. Francisco A. Arellano and Engr. Jeffrey G. Mijares, Members.
The 3-day examination covers physical and chemical principles, chemical engineering principles and general engineering, ethics and contracts.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on April 16, 2013. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
Last November 2012, 426 out of 777 passed the exam with results announced in just one day. Same scenario with April 2012 exam, 199 out of 383 passed the board.
For November 2012, Franz Adrian Lo Sy of De La Salle University - Manila lead passers with 84.90% rating. On the other hand, University of the Philippines - Diliman announced as the top performing school with 91.75% rating.
For April 2012, only top 4 places were announced by the commission. John Russel de Sagun Canoza of University of the Philippines - Diliman topped the board with 83.50% grade. None of the schools qualified for the top performing school status.
