PRC release NLE Results December 7-8, 2013 nursing board exam

PRC and Board of Nursing release official results of December 7-8, 2013 NLE (Nurse Licensure Examination) or known as Nursing Board Exam in 24 working days after the last day of exam. December 2013 NLE results - list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available here as officially released online.

PRC announced on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 that 10,977 out of 35,475 passed the December 2013 Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE).

Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice”.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced later. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

PRC announced that more than 35,000 takers from various testing centers in the country took the December 2013 NLE. Bulk of the examinees came from the National Capital Region (NCR) with a total of 11,333 followed by Davao with 3,286 and Cebu with 3,150 examinees.

PRC administered exam in the following test locations: Manila (NCR), Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan De Oro (CDO), Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The members of the Board of Nursing who gave examination are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto.Tomas, Yolanda C. Arugay and Amelia B. Rosales, Members.

December 2013 NLE consists of five (5) parts namely: Nursing Practice I (Basic Foundation of Nursing and Professional Nursing Practice), Nursing Practice II (Community Health Nursing and Care of the Mother and Child), Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations - Part A), Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations - Part B) and Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations - Part C).

Last December 2012, PRC released results in about 30 working days. Total number of examinees was 49,066 of which 16,908 passed. Meanwhile, June 2013 NLE results are out online in just 24 working days and with 16,219 out of 37,887 who passed the Nurse Licensure Examination.


NLE Top Performing Schools

For December 212, the following schools dominated or topped the list of best nursing schools in the Philippines for producing a high percentage of passing: Saint Paul University -Tuguegarao, Xavier University, Pamantasan Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), Saint Paul University-Iloilo, University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao, RTR Medical Foundation, SLU, San Pedro College-Davao, Southern Luzon State University (SLSU-Lucban) and Saint Mary's University.

The top 10 performing schools list for June 2013 Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE)-nursing board exam includes West Visayas State University-La Paz, Cebu Normal University, University of the Philippines-Manila, Chinese General Hospital Colleges, Benguet State University- La Trinidad, University of Santo Tomas (UST), Trinity University of Asia, Saint Paul University- Dumaguete, Xavier University, Velez College, Cebu City Medical Center and Saint Paul University-Manila.

January 1, 2014 Update: In an announcement through Facebook, Carl Balita, CBRC Reviewer and one of the reliable sources for probable and exact date of every NLE results said that he already confirmed when is the judgment day for December 2013 NLE takers.

January 4, 2014 Update: Carl Balita posted on Facebook on Friday, January 3 that takers will have to wait a single-digit working-day until results will come out. It only means that NLE results will be released online either of these periods: January 6-10, 2014 or January 13-16, 2014.

January 10, 2014 Update: Carl Balita announced thru Facebook: "The long wait will very soon be over..."as indirectly says that December 2013 NLE results will be released in few days from now. It is expected that next week is the 'Big Day' for future RNs. It is also possible that PRC will release results on weekend.

January 15, 2014 Update: Carl E. Balita posted: "Yesterday was a day that the LORD has made for me (as I was inducted President of the PCCI-QC)! Today is another day for YOU and for me..."
