PRC releases October 2016 Criminologist board exam results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Criminology officially released results of October 2016 Criminologist board exam in several weeks after the exam. The complete list of passers out of the 35,033 total examinees, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing school and performance of schools are available on this page once announced online.

PRC has conducted the Criminologist board exam on October 28, 29 and 30 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Pagadian, Zamboanga and Rosales, Pangasinan.

The members of the Board of Criminology who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, Chairman; Hon. George O. Fernandez and Hon. Ruben A. Sta. Teresa, Members.

Updating for the results...

The three-day exam covered the following subjects: criminal jurisprudence, procedure and evidence and law enfocement administration (October 28), criminalistics, crime detection and investigation (October 29); and sociology of crimes and ethics and correctional administration (October 30).

Based on PRC Resolution No. 2015-948, the target release of Criminologist board exam results is on Thursday, December 8 or in 26 working days after the exam.

In the same period last year, results out in 24 working days. A total of 9,671 out of 29,591 passed the exams.

In April 2016 exams, results were announced in 11 working days. 3,928 out of 16,435 successfully hurdled the tests.

We advise examinees to monitor release of results from November week 4 to the first week of December 2016.

Top Performing Schools for Criminologist board exam

University of the Cordilleras (UC) topped the October 2015 Criminologist Licensure Examination with 94.20 percent passing rate. Completing the top 5 were King's College of the Philippines, Inc. - Benguet, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) - Sogod, Ifugao State University-Lamut and Universidad de Manila.

In April 2016 exams, UC also dominated the schools with 100-percent passing rate.
