FULL LIST: NLE Results, Passers November 2016 nursing board exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Nursing (BoN) released official results of November 26 and 27, 2016 Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) also known as nursing board exam expected in 10-28 working days after the last day of exam. The November 2016 NLE results - complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page once out online.

A total of fourteen thousand six hundred twenty nine (14,629) examinees tried to hurdle the NLE, PRC said.

PRC administered the NLE in several testing locations nationwide: Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Pagadian and Zamboanga.

The members of the Board of Nursing who gave the licensure examination are Marian Grace A. Gascon, Chairman; Gloria B. Arcos, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Glenda S. Arquiza, Florence C. Cawaon and Cora A. Anonuevo, Members.


The November 2016 nursing board exam has drawn basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas i.e. Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, adults and aged and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.

The examination has tested competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows:

1. Patient Care Competencies (safe and quality nursing care, communication, collaboration and teamwork, health education)

2. Empowering Competencies (legal responsibilities, ethico-moral spiritual responsibilities and personal and professional development)

3. Enabling competencies (management of resources and enviromment and records management)

4. enhancing competencies (research and quality improvement)

NLE is compposed of five (5) parts namely: Nursing Practice I (Basic Foundation of Nursing and Professional Nursing Practice), Nursing Practice II (Community Health Nursing and Care of the Mother and Child), Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations - Part A), Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations - Part B) and Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychological Alternations - Part C).


According to PRC Resolution No. 2015-948 and Pursuant to Section 7 (d) of R.A. No. 8981, the target date of release of NLE results is on Sunday, January 8, 2017. Based on computation, it falls on 42 calendar days or in 28 working days after the last day of exam. The computed number of working days excludes six Saturdays and Sundays and 2 holidays (Bonifacio Day and Rizal Day).

In the same period last year, results were out online in 24 working days as 9,114 out of 18,500 passed the nursing board exam.

In June 2016, results were released in just 9 working days ahead of the target schedule. PRC has named 6,183 out of 14,184 who have passed the exam.

Based on the total number of examinees (almost same with June 2016 exam), PRC Board News expects that results are out online ahead of the target date or between December 12 and January 8, 2017 or in 10-28 working days.

Speculations and updates before the release of November 2016 NLE Results:

PRC Board News will update this page once we got reliable information from our sources. For the previous board exams, takers can expect exact release date of results by always visiting this site. PRC is expected to release results on earlier date as the total number of takers is fewer compared to previous examinations.

Note that the number of takers equates to the total number of days of checking the results.


In June 2016 nursing board exams, West Visayas State University (WVSU)- La Paz, Bicol University - Legazpi, Far Eastern University (FEU) - Manila and Ateneo de Zamboanga were recognized as the top performing schools per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. WVSU garnered 100-percent passing rate.

In November 2015 exams, PRC named University of Santo Tomas (UST), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU)- Batac and Xavier University (XU) as the top performing schools.
