The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday announced that 816 out of 1,557 (52.41%) passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Board of Architecture.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on February 7, 2013 but not later than February 8, 2013. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the mass oathtaking of the successful examinees in the said licensure examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
The Board of Architecture is headed by its Chairman, Arch. Armando N. Alli with two other members, Arch. Angeline T. Chua Chiaco and Arch. Marietta Bundalian Segovia.
Examination program was divided into two: history and theory of architecture, principles of planning and architecture practice on the first day; and architectural design and site planning on the second day.
On the same period last year, 822 out of 1,617 (50.83%) passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE). The results were released in four (4) working days after the last day of examination. SUDARSHAN VARSOVIA KHADKA JR from UP-Diliman and ANDREW MULATO WEE from University of San Carlos (USC) tied on the top spot with 86.40%.
