The members of the Board of Electronics Engineering are Engr. Sylvia Icasiano-Marcelo, Chairman and Engr. Joel B. Bajador, Member.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on May 6, 2013. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
ECE Board exam covers the following subjects: Mathematics, Electronics Engineering, General Engineering and Applied Sciences (GEAS) and Electronics Systems and Technologies (EST). ECT licensure exam includes Technical subjects, laws and ethics.
On the exams last year (April and October 2012), the number of passers shows a big leap on passing percentage 53.55 and 51.57 percent respectively compare to the results of ECE Board for 2009 to 2011.
For October 2009 board exam, passing is around 26.17% only or 1,131 out of 4,322 passed. Meanwhile, 1,026 out of 4,715 (21.7%) passed November 2010 licensure exam. 1,684 out of 4,568 or 36.87% passed October 2011 Electronics Engineering Board Exam.

Passing for ECE Board Exam is a dream come true for all takers since it marks acceptance/ entrance to the world of electronics profession. PRCBoardNews.com believes there is a correlation between status of the industry and passing rate.
Based on the passing rate trend above, it shows that electronics and communications industry in the Philippines are now improving, companies need more ECE board passers. Another reason for the high percentage of passing is it's possible that BEE gave not so strict or difficult questions unlike on the previous years.
