Last April 2012, the number of passers is 1,439 out of 2687 or 53.55 percent. This is higher compare to the results of ECE Board for 2009 to 2011 and recent results.
During my time at October 2009 board exam, passing is around 26.17% only or 1,131 out of 4,322 passed. Meanwhile, 1,026 out of 4,715 (21.7%) passed November 2010 licensure exam. 1,684 out of 4,568 or 36.87% passed October 2011 Electronics Engineering Board Exam.
Based from the data above, national passing rate is increasing yearly. We believe that PRC has something to do with the acceptable numbers of new electronics engineers based on the market status of electronics and communications. It seems that the industry is going strong and the Philippines now needs more and more ECEs.
