[State universities, colleges dominate April 2013 RME board exam ]
Examination was administered by the Board of Electrical Engineering on April 23, 2013 (Tuesday) at the cities of Manila, Baguio, CDO, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.
The members of the Board of Electrical Engineering are Engr. Fortunato C. Leynes, Chairman; Engr. Jaime V. Mendoza and Engr. Francis V. Mapile, Members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on May 15, 16 and 17, 2013. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P450 and Annual Registration Fee of P420 for 2013-2016 for REGISTERED MASTER ELECTRICIAN.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
RME exams covered Technical subjects (basic electricity, tools, test equipment, wiring motors etc) and Philippine electrical code.
Last April 2012, the results were released in two (2) working days after the last day of examinations. PRC named 690 out of 1,953 Registered Master Electricians . Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College - Talisay graduate, Arlou June Delfin Gomez topped the board with 87.50% average grade.
On September 2012, results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examinations. 664 out of 1,876 Registered Master Electricians passed the licensure exams. Sorsogon State College - Sorsogon graduate, Charles Japeth Antones Dichoso was named first placer with 90.00% grade.
