MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released results of October 2025 Fisheries Professionals board exam given in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Rosales, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao.
The University of the Philippines - Visayas, Iloilo City, led the schools with a perfect passing rate of 100%, as all 44 examinees passed the exam.
Mindanao State University - General Santos City followed in second place with an impressive 85.88% passing rate, or 73 out of 85 examinees successfully passing.
PRC and the Board of Fisheries, composed of Westly R. Rosario, Chairman; Catalino R. Dela Cruz, Carlos C. Baylon, Gerald F. Quinitio and Joebert D. Toledo, Members, administered the Fisheries Professional board exam on October 9 and 10, 2025.
Note: Note: The first subject of the exam in Baguio was rescheduled to October 11, 2025, following the magnitude 4.8 earthquake that occurred on October 9.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) – Iloilo City topped the October 2024 Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination with an impressive 97.67% passing rate (42 out of 43 passed). Central Luzon State University (CLSU) followed closely with an 89.16% passing rate (74 out of 83 passed).
No school qualified for the list of top performing schools in the October 2023 Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination.
Similarly, no top performing schools were recognized in the October 2021 and October 2022 Fisheries Technology Licensure Examinations.
In previous years, the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) – Iloilo consistently led the Fisheries Technology board exams, recording 96.33% (105 out of 109) in October 2019, 97.30% (72 out of 74) in October 2018, and an outstanding 98.97% (96 out of 97) in October 2017.

According to PRC Resolution No. 1927 series of 2024, the October 2025 Fisheries Professionals board exam results will be released on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, three (3) working days after the exams.
However, results may be released on later date without prior notice.
