MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases results of May 2026 Special Professional Licensure Exam (SPLE) for nurses, conducted in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. View here the list of passers, topnotchers, and performance of schools, as announced online.
The SPLE for nurses was given by the Board of Nursing composed of Hon. Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz, Chairman; Hon. Elsie A. Tee, Hon. Zenaida C. Gagno, Hon. Mary Grace C. Lacanaria, Hon. Mila Delia M. Llanes, Hon. Merle L. Salvani and Hon. Josefina A. Tuazon, Members.
The examination was held on May 29, 30, and 31, 2026 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
According to PRC, the conduct of SPLE for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) shall be in accordance with PRC Resolution No. 1034 (s. 2017), Republic Act No. 8981 and Executive Order No. 835.

Release of Results
According to the PRC's advisory on the target release date of SPLE results, the results of the May 2026 SPLE for Nurses are scheduled to be released on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
We advise takers to regularly monitor results announcements, as the results may be released earlier or later than the target date without prior notice.
Initial Registration
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please visit the official PRC website (www.prc.gov.ph) and follow the instructions for registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- Screenshot of system-generated Registration Form
- valid government-issued ID
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.”
Coverage of Exams
Similar with the regular NLE in the Philippines, SPLE covered competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows: patient care, empowering, enabling and enhancing competencies.
The five (5) parts of the NLE are the following:
- Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
- Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
- Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part A)
- Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part B)
- Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part C)
