FULL LIST: LET Results September 25, 2016 teachers board exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Professional Teachers (BPT) released official results of September 25, 2016 LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) or known as Teachers Board Exam expected on November 28 or 48 working days after the exam. The complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are all available on this page as announced online.

UPDATE: 23,378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees (30.18%) and 31,334 secondary teachers out of 92,754 examinees (33.78%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.)

It is further announced that of the 23,378 elementary teacher passers, 21,896 are first timers and 1,482 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 28,957 passers are first timers and 2,377 are repeaters.

PRC conducted the LET board exam in at least 25 testing centers nationwide which include NCR (Manila), Antique, Bacolod, Baguio, Catarman, Cebu, Davao, General Santos City, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Marinduque, Masbate, Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga and in Hongkong.

The BPT who gave the licensure exam for the expected 100,000 plus examiness is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.

Here's the summary of results for September 2016 LET:

In accordance with the law, passing the licensure exam and having valid professional license from the Commission are necessary before the practice of teaching profession in the Philippines. Otherwise, those who will violate may face fine and imprisonment based on penal provisions.

Coverage of Exam and Passing Rate

The September 25, 2016 licensure examination for teachers is consists of two (2) parts for Elementary: General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary: General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of General Education (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences), Professional Education (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education.

PRC and the Board of Professional Teachers said that in order to pass September 2016 LET, an examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

Expected release date of March 2016 LET Results

According to PRC Resolution No. 2015-948 which deals with the 'Schedule of Licensure Examinations for Year 2016,' the target release date of September 2016 LET results is on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 or in 45 working days after the exam.

PRC's projection excludes 2 holidays (special holiday on October 31 and All Saint's Day on November 1) and weekends. A total of 65 calendar days or a little over 2 months was calculated.

In March 2016, results are out after 41 working days. A total of 12,128 elementary teachers out of 42,739 examinees (28.38%) and 18,810 secondary teachers out of 53,090 examinees (35.43%) successfully passed the LET.

In September 2015 exams, results were out online after 48 working days. PRC named 21,461 elementary teachers out of 68,442 examinees (31.36%) and 34,010 secondary teachers out of 81,463 examinees (41.75%) who have hurdled the licensure exam.

We advise LET takers to monitor release of results starting November 21 (39 working days) to December 9 (52 working days).

Based on the history of LET, the total days before the release of teachers board exam results correlate with the total number of examinees. For example, PRC was able to announce September 2015 LET in about 48 working days due to high number of test takers as compared to other schedules with less than 100,000 examinees.

Note that some calamities which lead to cancellation of government work may add up to the waiting time of examinees. However, PRC has done some upgrades on their system to improve the process of checking the pencil-based examinations.

Updates before the release of LET results

Same with the previous LET examinations, PRC Board News will constantly update this page for the reliable and relevant information before the release of most awaited results. Followers of this page may get the exact release date in few days or hours before the release of results.

October 1, 2016 Update: PRC Baguio announced that teacher exam results are expected to be released after 45 working days. Takers can verify their grades/ratings at www.prc.gov.ph by visiting Online Verification of Ratings (OVR), using their Application Number.

October 3, 2016 Update: Review center owner and trainor Dr. Carl Balita released his first riddle when the LET results will be announced. "When the identical numbers kiss the last to bid the year goodbye...the DREAM and the DREAMER will be one."

Some believe that the identical number is referring to 11 (November) while "kiss the last" pertains to 29 ( kisses the last day of the month) or 30 ( a day before the last month of the year.)

November 3, 2016 Update: Reliable source says September 2016 LET results are OUT very soon.

November 12, 2016 Update: LET the countdown begin."When the countdown of the days sums up to infinity the dreams and the dreamers will be one," Balita hinted on Facebook. Netizens guessed results will be out by November 19 or 26.

November 20, 2016 Update: In a series of Facebook posts, Carl Balita hinted of the most probable date of LET results release. It can be decoded as November 28 or one day ahead from the target date, which is based on PRC Resolution No. 2015-948.

November 18: "LET the countdown begin! It is in your hands, teachers! The DREAM and the DREAMER will be one soon..." --It means that LET results will be released within 10 days or the maximum value is November 28.

November 19: "LET=LET•LET" --The value of LET is equal to 3, so, 3 x 3 equals 9 or nine days before the release of results or on November 28.

November 20: "LET us all brace to infinity...God is good, great and almighty!" - Infinity symbol is just like number 8, a countdown of 8 days before the 'big day.'

LET Top Performing Schools

In March 2016 exam, none of the schools qualified to enter the list of performing schools based on Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. Meanwhile, 6 schools dominated the secondary level tests which include University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman, Saint Louis University (SLU), University of San Carlos (USC), Philippine Normal University (PNU)-Manila, Philippine Normal University (PNU)-North Luzon and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV).

In the same period last year, 11 schools made it to the list of top performing schools for Elementary level while 10 institutions were included for the secondary level. UST topped in both levels of exam.
