MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Medicine released result of September 2019 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) or Physician board exam on September 19 or in four (4) working days after the last day of exam. The complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools are available on this page as announced online.

As announced, 4,006 out of 4,716 passed the exams. The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of her liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

PRC administered the second PLE this year on September 7, 8, 14 and 15 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Chairman; Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Clarita C. Maaño, Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez and Dr. Ma. Graciela Garayblas-Gonzaga, Members.

PLE RELATED RESULTS
The four-day medicine board exam covered the following subjects: biochemistry, anatomy and histology, microbiology and parasitology (Day 1); physiology, legal medicine, ethics and medical jurisprudence and pathology (Day 2); pharmacology and therapeutics surgery and opthalmology, otolaryngology and rhinology and medicine (Day 3); and obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and nutrition and preventive medicine and public health (Day 4).

According to PRC Resolution No. 1127, PLE board exam results will be released in four (4) working days after the last day of exam or on Thursday, September 19.

However, results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor announcement of results starting Wednesday, September 18.

In the September 2018 PLE, PRC announced results in five (5) working days. PRC named 3,717 out of 4,542 who successfully passed the exams. Kurl Eduvas Jamora from De La Salle Med and Health Sciences - DSLU Dasma aced the board with 91.08%.

In the September 2017 PLE, PRC released results in four (4) working days. A total of 3,340 out of 4,064 passed the series of tests. Vincent Edouard Anthony Retardo Gullas of University of Santo Tomas (UST) led the passers with 90.50%.

In the September 2016 exam, results were out in 3 working days. A total of 2,899 out of 3,695 successfully hurdled the exam. Jeri Charlotte Co Albano, also from UST, grabbed the highest spot with 89.50%.
